What is CallKit and why you should care

Since the release of iOS 10 for iPhone and iPad, Apple has introduced a feature called CallKit that will allow app programmers access the built-in phone features of the operating system. Thanks to this framework, app programers can now make and receive calls from their apps as if it were a regular phone call—the one we are used to up until now. As an example of the possibilities of this features, prior to iOS 10, if a friend of yours tried to call you via Whatsapp, Skype or Facebook Messenger you had to unlock your phone, open the app and then pick the incoming call but now thanks to CallKit you can pick the call from the lock screen.

What does that have to do with Monorean?

Prior to iOS 10, if your partner called you in with Whatsapp while on the exam you were not able to pick that call using the Beeper Pushbutton from Monorean Pro however since iOS 10 you’ll be able to pick an incoming call from Facebook Messenger, Whatsapp or Skype by simply pressing the Beeper Pushbutton for 5 seconds. Aditionally if your last phone call was placed using Whatsapp—FB Messegner or Skype—if you press the Beeper Pushbutton for five seconds you’ll initiate a phone call via Whatsapp to the same person.

You can now benefit from the Beeper Pushbutton feature even placing a call with Wahtsapp, Facebook Messenger or Skype. Any app implementing CallKit will work with your Beeper pushbutton.

Monorean on BTV channel

monorean review unboxing

We’ve been on the show “Les 10 Notícies”, a show broadcasted on the BTV channel, a TV from Spain. This time non of us were in the TV set but was one of our little Monorean Pro.

Here you can watch the fragment when they use and show our Monorean Pro. The language they speak is Catalan, a dialect from Spanish. We’ll try to find a video with english subtitles!

In the backstage they recorded an interesting video extracting the Monorean.

Cheating is for losers, they say

While cheating could be for losers, that’s the classic mentally of people who drank the Kool-Aid of “go to school, get a job and do what your boss tells you to do”. School has been designed for one-type mind and fails to draw OUT the brilliance of the student. That’s why some people come out of school thinking they are smart… and they’re not. And that’s why other people come out of school thinking they are dumb… and they’re not.

Indeed school rewards losers. School teaches you not to make mistakes, “If you make a mistake you’re stupid”, they say. But how in the world do you learn if you make no mistakes? The human mind is designed to learn through mistakes.

That’s why Monorean exists. It exists to unlock the chains of the current educational system.

Now you can understand why many people labeled “smart” at school get frustrated when they see “stupid” labeled people thriving in life.

Notice that we’re not saying you don’t have to work hard to thrive in your life, in fact you are going to need huge amounts of work. All we are saying is that there are as many ways to learn and achieve goals as there are people. Once you find your way, your path in life—not necessarily the one your teaches have for you—hard work will become something you’ll be hunger for, hunger for knowledge and even more work. Getting rid of the formal education is not necessarily for losers.
