Bitcoin Cash Accepted here

The world is moving forward very fast but money isn’t.

Well… that was true till 2009 when the first Bitcoin was created.

Basically what Bitcoin is, is a new private money that is reliable, nobody controls, it can’t be counterfeited, it has a limited supply, it can’t be seized and it’s very easy to transfer over the Internet without anyone being able to prevent it. You can create a Bitcoin account without any type of third party authorisation. Sounds good huh? it is liberating.

We’ve been following Bitcoin from the early days and we think it has reached a point where it is not an experiment anymore and that is why we’ve decided to take an early step. The Bitcoin world has evolved a lot since 2009 and many alternative coins have emerged to the point people now talk about cryptocurrencies instead of just Bitcoin.

Of all of the cryptocurrencies out there, there is a particular interesting one called Bitcoin Cash. It’s esentially Bitcoin but with cheap transactions and has an overwhelming infrastructure around it.

What is CallKit and why you should care

Since the release of iOS 10 for iPhone and iPad, Apple has introduced a feature called CallKit that will allow app programmers access the built-in phone features of the operating system. Thanks to this framework, app programers can now make and receive calls from their apps as if it were a regular phone call—the one we are used to up until now. As an example of the possibilities of this features, prior to iOS 10, if a friend of yours tried to call you via Whatsapp, Skype or Facebook Messenger you had to unlock your phone, open the app and then pick the incoming call but now thanks to CallKit you can pick the call from the lock screen.

What does that have to do with Monorean?

Prior to iOS 10, if your partner called you in with Whatsapp while on the exam you were not able to pick that call using the Beeper Pushbutton from Monorean Pro however since iOS 10 you’ll be able to pick an incoming call from Facebook Messenger, Whatsapp or Skype by simply pressing the Beeper Pushbutton for 5 seconds. Aditionally if your last phone call was placed using Whatsapp—FB Messegner or Skype—if you press the Beeper Pushbutton for five seconds you’ll initiate a phone call via Whatsapp to the same person.

You can now benefit from the Beeper Pushbutton feature even placing a call with Wahtsapp, Facebook Messenger or Skype. Any app implementing CallKit will work with your Beeper pushbutton.

Classrooms have not really changed in the last 100 years

Ricky Thacker’s uniquely designed classroom is one example of what makes him such a great teacher. Last summer, he attended an education conference where a presenter displayed two photos: one of a classroom in 1915, and one from 2015.

Ricky was immediately struck that the setup of American classrooms has not really changed in the last 100 years. Most students still sit in straight rows with a teacher at the front of the class.

When he returned to Betsy Layne, he decided it was time to bring his classroom into the 21st century. He wanted to create a space that put students at the center.
